Collaboration between iconic Japanese works and the traditional craft 'Marugame Uchiwa'! 2026 Summer collection on sale from June 1st.

Kaguya has opened its official online store and commenced the first term of pre-orders for the '2026 Summer New Collection' fans, a collaboration between the traditional craft 'Marugame Uchiwa' from Marugame City, Kagawa Prefecture, and iconic Japanese works. In recent years, traditional crafts across Japan have faced existential threats due to lifestyle changes and a shortage of successors. Kaguya addresses this challenge through the fusion of old and new Japanese culture. By collaborating with globally popular works, the company aims to introduce the charm of Marugame Uchiwa to younger generations and international audiences, supporting sustainable craftsmanship. The collection features four titles: 'Astro Boy,' 'Princess Knight,' 'Chibi Maruko-chan,' and 'Coji-Coji.' Each fan is crafted through 47 meticulous steps, offering the warmth of authentic handiwork. Marugame Uchiwa is priced at 4,950 JPY, and Bamboo Uchiwa at 2,970 JPY. Sales are conducted via a made-to-order system in three terms from June to August.
