【Accident Property x Temple】Shingon Buddhist Temple "Zenshoin" Born in Nara City. Special Cleaning Company Regenerates Vacant House.

Kansai Clean Service (operated by A-LIFE Co., Ltd., headquartered in Nara City, Nara Prefecture, Representative Director: Noriyuki Kamezawa), which handles special cleaning and遺品整理 (arranging belongings of the deceased), has fully renovated an accident property in Nara City and established the Shingon Buddhist temple "Suiryokuzan Zenshoin" in March 2026.

This temple is a regeneration of a vacant house (35 years old, total floor area approx. 280㎡) where a suicide occurred in 2023. Through their work in special cleaning and遺品整理, they have encountered the unplaceable feelings of the deceased and their bereaved families, as well as the risks associated with vacant accident properties. As one answer to addressing both of these issues, the property has been reborn as a "place of prayer open to the community."

## Why an "Accident Property" was Turned into a "Temple"

This project was conceived by Noriyuki Kamezawa (Buddhist name: Ryusho Kamezawa), who is both the Representative of A-LIFE Co., Ltd. and a Shingon Buddhist monk.

The building that became Zenshoin was an accident property difficult to reuse.

In 2023, the then-owner committed suicide in the building. Kansai Clean Service, commissioned by the bereaved family, performed special cleaning and purchased the property.

After the purchase, careful consideration was given to how to handle the property.

Generally, demolition and conversion to bare land is an option. However, in this case, due to the structural reasons of the building, demolition would incur significant costs, and even if it were converted to bare land, there was a possibility of disclosure obligations arising.
