Pairings Released for the 41st Empress's Cup All Japan Women's Judo Championships: The Open-Weight Battle to Determine the 'Strongest' in Women's Judo!

The All Japan Judo Federation (AJJF) has announced the tournament pairings for the "41st Empress's Cup All Japan Women's Judo Championships," to be held on Sunday, April 19, 2026, at the Yokohama Budokan. This prestigious event will feature Rena Tanaka (78kg class), the previous champion, and Mio Shirokane (57kg class), the runner-up, alongside athletes who have won their way through 10 regional qualifiers across the country. In this competition, top athletes who usually excel in their respective weight classes will compete for the title of Japan's best in an open-weight format.
