JR Kyushu, in collaboration with Beppu City, will hold a regional revitalization market at Higashi-Beppu Station on April 5th.

The General Incorporated Association Beppu City Industry Collaboration Platform B-biz LINK and Kyushu Railway Company (JR Kyushu) will hold the "Higashi-Beppu Station Market" event at Higashi-Beppu Station!
Under the theme of "Creating a 'familiar place' where children and adults can enjoy together," the event will feature food stalls run by students, workshops for children, and activities to experience art up close. We aim to create a space for interaction where local residents and the next generation can gather, and to revitalize the community by utilizing the historic station building.
Additionally, the "Beppu Hatto Onsen Festival" will be held from April 1st to 5th, with events taking place at the Hamawaki venue on April 5th. Please stop by Higashi-Beppu Station!

★Higashi-Beppu Station is a historic station, featuring the oldest wooden, single-story station building in Oita Prefecture, which opened in 1911 (Meiji 44). It is also designated as a tangible cultural property of Beppu City. In March 2025, as part of the ekinico project, the rental studio "BEPPU STUDIO 04" was opened on the second floor of the adjacent track maintenance office.
