A consortium of Japanese railway companies, including all JR companies (Hokkaido, East, Central, West, Shikoku, Kyushu), Tokyo Metropolitan Bureau of Transportation, and various regional private railway associations (Japan Private Railways Association, Tohoku, Hokuriku-Shinetsu, Kanto, Chubu, Kansai, Chugoku, Shikoku, Kyushu Railway Associations), will begin displaying customer harassment prevention posters and digital signage content from April 13, 2026. This marks the second consecutive year for this industry-wide effort, aiming to maintain high-quality customer service while taking a resolute stance against customer harassment. The campaign's concept uses karuta-style illustrations to subtly highlight actions that constitute kasuhara, encouraging public awareness.
