[JR Central] New Emergency Transport Service via Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen Direct Trains - Expansion of Emergency Transport Service Sections for Shinkansen Cargo

Central Japan Railway Company (JR Central) and West Japan Railway Company (JR West) will launch an emergency transport service using direct Tokaido/Sanyo Shinkansen trains to improve response capabilities for long-distance same-day emergency transport needs. By coordinating the existing 'Tokaido Ultra Mach Bin' (Tokaido Shinkansen) and 'Nimoshu! Quick' (Sanyo Shinkansen) services, same-day booking and delivery will be possible between Tokyo Station and Hiroshima Station, as well as Tokyo Station and Hakata Station. The service starts on June 1, 2026 (Mon). Transport time is approximately 4 hours between Tokyo and Hiroshima, and approximately 5 hours between Tokyo and Hakata. Please note that a prior contract with JR Central Logistics Co., Ltd. is required to use this service.
