The Japan Foundation (JF), in co-organization with the CUEW Executive Committee, will host the second "CUEW Showcase & Conference," an expansion of the music showcase and conference that was well-received in August 2025.

The concept of "CUEW" is "to create new opportunities between Japan and the world." It aims to globally promote the talents of artists from Japan, Asia, and around the world, while simultaneously creating a platform for domestic and international music professionals to gather, learn, and connect.

In its inaugural year, the event invited 8 music industry professionals active in global music festivals to observe showcase performances by 16 artists. As a result, Sakura Fujiwara secured a performance at Egypt's "She Arts Festival," and soraya held solo concerts in Taiwan and Hong Kong.

This June, NIKO NIKO TAN TAN and HUGEN are scheduled to perform at Australia's "Rising" festival. Furthermore, multiple overseas performances and international booking projects are currently in progress, demonstrating that CUEW continues to generate opportunities connecting Japanese artists with the world.

For its second iteration, the number of invited music industry professionals will be significantly increased to 26 individuals from 13 countries. Additionally, through a collaboration with the urban music festival 'SYNCHRONICITY’26,' to be held on April 11 (Sat.) and 12 (Sun.), opportunities will be created for observing festival artists, further supporting the international advancement of Japanese artists.

The conference, scheduled for April 9 (Thu.) and 10 (Fri.), will feature sessions sharing insights on international trends and practical knowledge from music industry professionals worldwide, alongside business matching and networking programs. It will serve as a multifaceted platform where music, business, and international exchange converge, creating valuable opportunities for Japanese music industry professionals.
