Louis Vuitton has launched ready-to-wear, bags, luggage, travel items, shoes, and accessories made with its innovative new material, Silktech.

Silktech debuted as part of the collection presented by Men's Creative Director Pharrell Williams at the Louis Vuitton 2026 Fall-Winter Men's Fashion Show, held in Paris on January 20. The innovation of Silktech—envisioning a future where cutting-edge industrial advancements are seamlessly integrated into timeless wardrobes—beautifully merges with the Maison's long-standing tradition of craftsmanship.

This hybrid material, combining silk and recycled nylon in a twill weave, unites supreme functionality with an elegant, timeless texture. It features water resistance, fray resistance, wrinkle resistance, and lightweight properties, along with a unique luster and a touch reminiscent of silk. Visually, it closely resembles supple leather.

'Louis Vuitton Silktech' is a groundbreaking innovation that simultaneously evokes the Maison's early signature styles symbolizing its heritage of travel. By reinterpreting the remarkable strength and durability of silk used in parachutes and hot air balloons from the early 20th century—designed to withstand extreme weight conditions—Silktech combines exceptional technical performance with rich tactile qualities. Carrying forward this lineage of gravity-defying inventions, Silktech evolves into a stronger, highly refined structure by weaving nylon into silk.

Introduced with Louis Vuitton's iconic brown-and-gold Monogram pattern, Silktech recalls the coated canvas and vegetable-tanned natural leather that symbolize the Maison's history of elevating practical materials into refined luxury. Its functional qualities mirror those of its inspirations—parachutes and hot air balloons—including astonishing lightness, high impact absorption, and ease of portability, while also offering a natural, body-conforming feel in appearance, touch, and suppleness.

These qualities are featured across a wide range of men's ready-to-wear items, as well as classic lines of bags and travel goods. The collection includes soft-textured garments such as classic hooded windbreakers, down puffers, and athleisure styles, alongside durable duffel bags with impressive load-bearing capacity. For example, the 'Louis Vuitton Silktech' City Bag can hold up to 50 kg.

'Louis Vuitton Silktech' is now widely used across seasonal and staple designs, with a diverse lineup including the 'Christopher EW' and 'Nano Christopher EW,' 'Track Backpack,' 'Hanging Toiletry Bag,' 'Nile XL' and 'Nile 45,' 'Alma Shoulder,' 'Speedy 30' and 'Speedy 40,' 'Jet Lag Bag,' 'Rush Bag,' 'Dust Bag Tote,' 'Sirius Reversible,' 'Keepall 50,' Brim Cap, 'LV Drop 300 Sneaker,' 'LV Trainer Sneaker,' and 'LV Tilted Sneaker.'
