Louis Vuitton is breathing new life into the world of the Grand Tour with the "Louis Vuitton Classic Run Dolomites 2026," to be held from Tuesday, September 1, to Friday, September 4, 2026. This highly anticipated revival of an iconic event, which embodies the Maison's "Spirit of Travel" in its purest form, is a special journey where refined excellence, performance, and the "Spirit of Travel" meet once again on the racetrack. A new chapter unfolds, carrying the Maison's legendary savoir-faire into the world of classic cars.

The "Louis Vuitton Classic Run" is a long-standing event of the Maison, dating back to 1993. Over the years, it has been held on various challenging routes, including the "Vintage Equator Run" (1993) through Malaysia's lush jungles and rubber plantations; the "Italia Classica" (1995, 1997) set against the backdrop of Tuscany's vineyards and historic towns; the "China Run" (1998) traversing rice paddies and mountainous regions from Dalian to Beijing; and the "Boheme Run" (2006) through the ancient oak forests of Bohemia, from Budapest to Vienna and on to Prague. The last "Classic Run" was the "Serenissima Run" in 2012. The finish line of that event in Venice will be the starting point for the "Louis Vuitton Classic Run Dolomites 2026" in September 2026.

The "Louis Vuitton Classic Run Dolomites 2026" will be a four-day event filled with art and discovery. A collection of exquisite vintage cars, gathered from some of the world's finest collections, will compete in regularity races alongside their owners, including several female collectors.

Opening in Venice, the event will unfold across a selection of magnificent locations, reflecting the values of universality, creativity, and unique savoir-faire that have been the foundation of the Maison since its inception. Furthermore, Louis Vuitton is collaborating with key cultural institutions and foundations, historic villas, and castles, including the Royal Villa of Monza, Sforza Castle in Milan, Villa Pisani in Stra, and the Civic Museums of Venice (MUVE), aiming to preserve and enhance cultural heritage.

Through various initiatives, from the preservation of artworks to museum restoration projects, the Maison contributes to the conservation of these historic buildings and ensures that their invaluable heritage is passed on to future generations. The rally will commence on Wednesday, September 2, from Villa Pisani in Stra, a town along the Brenta River known for its charming architecture, before embarking on a journey through the magnificent landscapes of the Dolomites, a UNESCO World Heritage site. The route, designed as an homage to Louis Vuitton's "Spirit of Travel," will cover approximately 600 km over two days, traversing dramatic mountain passes, winding roads, and picturesque scenery reminiscent of movie scenes.

The destination is Monza, known as the "Temple of Speed." On Friday, September 4, in conjunction with the opening of the "Formula 1 Italian Grand PrixTM," the participating vehicles will parade on the iconic circuit of the Autodromo Nazionale di Monza. Here, the tradition of classic cars meets the ultimate performance born from advanced engineering.

At Villa Reale, located within the Monza Park where the Autodromo di Monza is situated, a public exhibition will showcase the classic cars participating in the "Louis Vuitton Classic Run Dolomites 2026." From its start to its finale, this event embodies the deep connection that has been nurtured for years between the Maison's savoir-faire and the world of automobiles. The first automobile trunk was developed in 1897 by Georges Vuitton, Louis Vuitton's grandson. He transformed the cumbersome, flat-lidded trunks of the time into a new concept for travel.

This was followed in 1905 by the "Sac Chauffeur," designed in a perfect circle to fit into the spare tire compartment of automobiles. From the trunks handcrafted for early explorers and drivers to the excitement and precision of modern motorsport, this event connects generations of exploration, evolution, and creativity into the future. The event will conclude with an awards ceremony held at Sforza Castle in Milan.

The trophy, designed by Sabine Marcelis and crafted by Venini, will be housed in a Louis Vuitton trophy trunk, an homage to the Maison's savoir-faire and its long history of creating bespoke trophy trunks.
