At Art Basel Hong Kong 2026, Louis Vuitton will present a booth looking back at the Maison's collaborations with Frank Gehry, celebrating over 20 years of partnership. From bold architectural projects to limited edition bags, fragrance bottles, and timepieces, Gehry's creations demonstrate a unique vision of timeless innovation and savoir-faire.
Canadian-American architect Frank Gehry has been internationally recognized for a career that embodies exceptional craftsmanship in design. At this booth, where Louis Vuitton is the show partner for Art Basel Hong Kong, his iconic architecture, the "Louis Vuitton × Frank Gehry" bag collection, and other collaborations with the Maison will be presented chronologically across eight chapters. The exhibition offers an intimate experience of Frank Gehry's creative process through models and artworks. His exceptional legacy continues to live on in his work. As Gehry himself says, "For a long time, my thinking was that if you keep asking questions, you'll eventually find answers. But what's most important is to be curious.".

In the same year, the partnership continued with the "Twisted Box" bag, designed by Gehry for a collection commemorating Louis Vuitton's 160th anniversary. In 2019, Louis Vuitton Maison Seoul, Gehry's first architectural project in Korea, was completed. It features a curved glass facade inspired by the Fondation Louis Vuitton and traditional Korean architecture. Collaborations continued thereafter. In 2022, to celebrate the bicentennial of founder Louis Vuitton's birth, "Tea Party for Louis!" was unveiled, reinterpreting the iconic Louis Vuitton trunk inspired by "Alice in Wonderland." In the same year, he also designed "Blossom," a Murano glass bottle and metal cap for Louis Vuitton's fragrance "Les Extraits Collection.".
The "Louis Vuitton × Frank Gehry" bag collection, first unveiled as ten highly limited pieces at Art Basel Miami Beach 2023, is also on display at this booth. This collection showcases three core themes of Frank Gehry's creative work—architecture and form, exploration of materials, and animals—applied to the iconic Capucines bag, two types of "Twist..."
