CyberLink Corporation announced that it has added two new features, Video Quick Actions and AI Video Object Removal, to PowerDirector 365, its video editing software that has held the No. 1 domestic sales share in Japan for 11 consecutive years. Video Quick Actions is designed to make video adjustments easier and faster. Users simply select the video they want to edit, and AI automatically analyzes the footage and suggests optimal adjustments such as brightness and color. Multiple settings can be edited together using sliders. A recommended preset is also available by default, allowing users to export the result as is or add it directly to the timeline, while still retaining the option to fine-tune each item manually. AI Video Object Removal lets users naturally remove unwanted objects captured in video footage. By selecting the area to remove, the AI analyzes the footage and generates a completed video that blends with the surrounding background. Processing takes only a few minutes and can be used easily without advanced editing skills. The feature helps salvage footage that would otherwise be difficult to use because of passersby or unwanted objects, producing a more natural-looking result. AI Video Object Removal requires credits. The credit cost is 2 credits per second of video. PowerDirector 365 is priced at ¥9,280 per year for the 12-month plan and ¥2,480 per month for the monthly plan.
