CyberLink Adds AI Voice Cloning Feature to PowerDirector 365 Video Editing Software

CyberLink Corp. has announced the addition of a new feature to its video editing software, "PowerDirector 365," which has held the No. 1 domestic sales share in Japan for 11 consecutive years*. This feature allows users to register their own recorded voice for use with text-to-speech functions. This functionality enables users to generate audio using their own voice, facilitating the creation of more natural and personalized content. The feature can be utilized within existing tools such as AI Story Generator, Text-to-Speech, and AI Lip Sync. ■ AI Voice Cloning Feature The AI Voice Cloning feature allows users to save recorded audio as a voice profile, which the AI can then use to generate speech. Voice profiles created with this feature can be applied to AI Story Generator, Text-to-Speech, and AI Lip Sync, enabling the production of more natural and consistent audio content. The operation is simple: users select "Clone Voice" from the feature menu, read the displayed sample text to record, and a voice profile is created. With this addition, AI audio generation—which was previously limited to pre-existing voice profiles—now allows for the use of original audio based on the user's own voice.
