Kaiseisha, Publisher of "Nontan" Series and "The Very Hungry Caterpillar," Announces 90th Anniversary Podcast Series!

Nippon Broadcasting System will produce an 11-episode podcast program, "Kaiseisha presents Who Made That Book?", to commemorate Kaiseisha's 90th anniversary. The program will welcome authors and editors representing Kaiseisha as guests, delving into the appeal of their works, their creative origins, and their personalities.

Mio Kumagai, an announcer at Nippon Broadcasting System and a great lover of picture books herself, will serve as the host. Through casual and friendly conversations, she will uncover unexpected sides of the authors and unique episodes that can only be heard here, offering a special time to meet the "people" behind the pages.

The program will be distributed in 11 episodes starting from Friday, June 12, 2026. It will be available on radiko podcast, Nippon Broadcasting PODCAST STATION, and various other podcast apps.
