Jmty Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as "the Company"), which operates the local information site "Jmty" (hereinafter referred to as "Jmty"), has concluded an agreement with Shinagawa Ward, Tokyo (hereinafter referred to as "Shinagawa Ward") concerning reuse, and will implement reuse awareness-raising activities aimed at waste reduction.

The Company has, to date, concluded agreements concerning reuse with 297 municipalities nationwide, including 10 within Tokyo's 23 wards, and has been engaged in promoting the spread of reuse. As a company headquartered in Shinagawa Ward, we will further activate reuse activities within the ward through this agreement and contribute to the realization of a sustainable local community.

Aim of the Agreement

Shinagawa Ward has, within its Basic Plan for General Waste Disposal, set forth "promotion of reuse" as one of its basic policies for measures, and has been engaged in various waste reduction activities. Until fiscal year 2025, it has provided opportunities for reuse by listing items that are still usable from bulk waste on the Jmty site.

Moving forward, with the aim of further expanding the volume of reuse, a new cooperation agreement has been concluded with the Company to make it easier for residents to list unwanted items themselves and choose the option of "giving away" before discarding them.

Activities (as of May 1, 2026*)

Shinagawa Ward's official website, public relations magazine "Koho Shinagawa," and pamphlets such as "How to Dispose of and Separate Resources and Waste" will be used to raise awareness among residents about the option of "giving away instead of discarding," thereby suppressing waste emissions and enhancing reuse awareness.

Furthermore, an official Shinagawa Ward account will be created within Jmty to disseminate information about the ward, including reuse, to more residents.

The Company will continue to strengthen reuse promotion in cooperation with local governments, aiming to realize a sustainable society. We look forward to inquiries from municipalities nationwide that are eager to reduce waste and promote reuse.

*The content of awareness-raising activities may change in the future.
