Yoshida Shuzo Co., Ltd. (Eiheiji-cho, Yoshida-gun, Fukui Prefecture; CEO Yukari Yoshida) has been carrying out a project on the crowdfunding site Makuake starting from April 10, 2026, to commemorate its 220th anniversary.

(The project period is from 10:00 AM on April 6, 2026, to June 26, 2026) https://www.makuake.com/project/jizakegura-hakuryu2/

[Background of Implementation] Eight years ago, our master brewer (toji), Mako Yoshida, debuted as the youngest female master brewer at the age of 24. At that time, we carried out a support project (*1) on crowdfunding Makuake titled 'Challenge of the Youngest Female Master Brewer'. Exactly 8 years have passed since then. This year, which marks our 220th anniversary, we are taking on the crowdfunding challenge once again with the desire for people to taste the conflict and growth of the youngest female master brewer and Yoshida Shuzo through our sake.

*1) Project implemented in 2018 '24-Year-Old - Limited Sale of 35% Polished Junmai Daiginjo Sake Challenged by Japan's Youngest Female Master Brewer!' https://www.makuake.com/project/jizakegura-hakuryu/ Total of 600 supporters. Achieved a total support purchase amount of 6,917,000 yen against a target amount of 1,000,000 yen.

[Rewards] We have stored only about 220 bottles of the 'Junmai Daiginjo 35%' brewed at the time of her debut 8 years ago at sub-zero temperatures. We will deliver this as a reward for this crowdfunding campaign. In addition, we will exclusively release the pinnacle sake (pressed on April 6, 2026) that Master Brewer Mako considers her best right now as a comparison tasting set in the rewards. We have also prepared rewards such as a sake brewing experience and a pairing experience where you can experience the 'Eiheiji Terroir' (*2) we uphold with all your five senses.

*2) Terroir is a French word expressing soil, climate, etc.

Junmai Daiginjo Polished 35% Sub-zero 8-Year Aged 'Robaisen' - Category: Sake - Alcohol content: 17% - Content volume: 720ml - Ingredients: Rice (domestic), Rice koji (domestic rice) - Raw rice: 100% Yamada Nishiki grown in Eiheiji-cho, Fukui Prefecture - Rice polishing ratio: 35% - Makuake Price: 18,000 yen (tax and shipping included)

A debut work that will never be tasted again once the stored 220 bottles are sold out. By storing it for 8 years at a sub-zero temperature of -5°C, the harshness has been rounded off, as if the tension of that time had melted away, and the depth and richness have appropriately increased. You can smoothly taste the high-quality umami of the rice, and the aftertaste has a clean crispness, accumulating years in a well-balanced manner.

<Reference Materials> ■ Introduction of Yoshida Shuzo Co., Ltd. Founded in 1806 (Bunka 3). Using locally grown rice from Eiheiji-cho cultivated entirely by our own company or contract farmers, we live with rice throughout the year from rice farming to sake brewing. Furthermore, we call the entire environment surrounding the sake brewery 'Eiheiji Terroir', and our creed is to pack everything of this hometown into a single bottle, such as <the pristine snowmelt water that moistens the rice fields of this land, the waves of golden ears of rice, and the shouts of brewers echoing on snowy mornings>. From 2017, the second daughter of the brewery owner (24 years old at the time) assumed the position of master brewer. The entire company is working on rice farming and sake brewing where 'eyes reach, hands reach, and hearts reach'.
