Yoshida Sake Brewery Co., Ltd., located in Eiheiji Town, Fukui Prefecture, and led by Representative Director Yukari Yoshida, commenced a crowdfunding project on Makuake on April 10, 2026, to commemorate its 220th anniversary. The project will run from April 6, 2026, to June 26, 2026. This initiative follows a successful crowdfunding campaign in 2018, which marked Mako Yoshida's debut as Toji at the age of 24, making her Japan's youngest female brewmaster at the time. The current campaign offers two distinct sakes as rewards. The first is "Roubaisen," a Junmai Daiginjo with a 35% polishing ratio, brewed 8 years ago and aged for 8 years at -5°C. This limited release of approximately 220 bottles, priced at 18,000 JPY (including tax and shipping) for a 720ml bottle with 17% alcohol, will not be re-released once sold out. The second offering is Mako Yoshida's latest "highest achievement" sake, a fresh unpasteurized sake pressed on April 6, 2026. This 720ml sake, with 15.5% alcohol, is available for 6,500 JPY (including tax and shipping). Both sakes utilize 100% Yamada Nishiki rice sourced from Eiheiji Town, Fukui Prefecture. Additional rewards include sake brewing and pairing experiences, emphasizing the brewery's "Eiheiji Terroir" philosophy. Yoshida Sake Brewery, established in 1806, cultivates its own Yamada Nishiki rice since 1990, transitioned to producing only Junmai sake in 2016, and exclusively uses Fukui Prefecture rice since 2017.
