Jinki Ittai, Developer of Humanoid Heavy Machinery, Leads General-Purpose Robot Platform Construction by Applying Unique Force Control and Bilateral Control Technologies to Collaborative Robots

Jinki Ittai Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Kusatsu City, Shiga Prefecture; Representative Director: Dr. Kanaoka; hereinafter "Jinki Ittai") is pleased to announce that it has entered a new development phase for building a general-purpose robot platform based on its unique advanced robotics technology.

In this project, Jinki Ittai's proprietary force control technology, power-amplifying bilateral control technology, and other related technologies will be applied to off-the-shelf collaborative robots, enabling early social implementation in worksites currently suffering from arduous tasks.

Background: From "Deepening Technology" to "Expanding Technology" ### "Deepening Technology" through PoC Development Jinki Ittai has created numerous innovative PoC prototypes in collaboration with participating companies, such as commercializing companies (users) and productizing companies (manufacturers), through its intellectual property utilization service "Jinki Platform" based on advanced robotics technology. Past developments, represented by "Type Zero Jinki," "Type Zero Two Jinki," "Jinki Stewart Platform," and "Jinki Cart," achieved the intuitive operation of "powerful force" with "precise force control"—a feat difficult to realize with conventional industrial robots or hydraulic heavy machinery through zero-based design—thereby enabling the mechanization of on-site tasks considered difficult to automate.
