We are pleased to announce that the Japan Institute for the Certification of Digital Advertising Quality (JICDAQ), represented by Chairperson Chiaki Kawakami, has reached its 5th anniversary since its establishment and the commencement of its operations.
JICDAQ was established with the aim of improving the quality of digital ad placements and fostering a healthy market. It was founded in March 2021 and began operations in April of the same year. Over these five years, alongside the widespread adoption of its certification system for advertising-related businesses, efforts to ensure the quality of digital ad placements have also expanded. Consequently, the number of certified quality businesses and supporters (including advertiser companies and government agencies) has steadily increased. JICDAQ will continue to promote the certification system and contribute to the healthy development and increased trustworthiness of the digital advertising market.

JICDAQ: A History of Progress
In 2019, the Japan Advertisers Association (JAA) published the "Advertiser Declaration on Digital Advertising Issues" with the aim of addressing challenges in the digital advertising market. Following this, the "Joint Declaration for Solving Digital Advertising Issues" and the "JICDAQ Declaration" were issued by the three advertising organizations: the Japan Advertisers Association (JAA), the Japan Advertising Agencies Association (JAAA), and the Japan Interactive Advertising Association (JIAA). This led to the establishment of JICDAQ in March 2021. Since commencing operations in April, the number of certified quality businesses and supporters (supporting registered businesses, advertiser companies, and government agencies) has continued to increase steadily over the past five years.
