The Japan Consumers' Co-operative Union (JCCU) is celebrating its 75th anniversary in 2026. As part of the celebration, JCCU will host 'Kissa Co-op,' a three-day experiential event from April 24 (Friday) to April 26 (Sunday), 2026, at Inaribashi Plaza in front of Shibuya Stream, Tokyo. The event aims to attract younger generations, particularly those in their 20s, who may have had limited exposure to Co-op. The venue will feature a retro cafe theme where visitors can experience Co-op products. Key activities include tasting the long-selling 'CO・OP Mixed Carrot,' which celebrates its 45th anniversary, participating in a 'Thank you for folding!' voting box promoting recycling, and receiving new 'CO・OP Mixed Carrot Gummy' samples. There will also be retro cafe-style photo spots and an SNS posting campaign offering 'CO・OP Gozan-yaki Castella' as a prize. A visitor survey will offer 'CO・OP Domestic Fruit Soda.' An associated SNS campaign on X (formerly Twitter) will run from April 13 to April 30, 2026, offering Co-op product assortments to 750 winners who participate in a retro type diagnosis and share the results. The event is free to enter.
