JASRAC Sponsors International Music Award "MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2026" – Continues "Creator Special Award" from 2025

The Japanese Society for Rights of Authors, Composers and Publishers (Headquarters: Shibuya-ku, Tokyo; Chairman: Kazuya Izawa; hereinafter "JASRAC") will participate as a prize partner in "MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2026," the largest international music award in Japan organized by the Culture and Entertainment Industry Promotion Association (hereinafter "CEIPA"), continuing from last year, to enliven this event.

This year, the "Creator Special Award Song of the Year for Creators presented by JASRAC," which honors the gold prize winner of the "2026 JASRAC Award" organized by our association, will be established for this award.

■ About "JASRAC Award" and "Creator Special Award"
The JASRAC Award is an awards system that has honored the achievements of lyricists, composers, and music publishers for over 40 years since its establishment in 1982. It annually recognizes the top three domestic works with the highest distribution of copyright fees in the previous year from music streaming, karaoke, commercials, etc., with Gold, Silver, and Bronze awards. The domestic work with the highest income from overseas copyright management organizations receives the International Award, and the foreign work with the highest distribution receives the Foreign Work Award. The establishment of the Creator Special Award is an initiative to widely publicize the achievements of music creators to society. JASRAC will continue to promote various initiatives to enhance the value of music creators and their creations.

"MUSIC AWARDS JAPAN 2026" is the largest international music award in Japan organized by CEIPA.
Japan's five major music industry organizations (Recording Industry Association of Japan, Japan Music Entertainment Producers Association, Japan Federation of Music Producers, Japan Music Publishers Association, Concert Promoters Association) will collaborate beyond their boundaries, connecting with the global music industry with the concept of "Connecting with the world, lighting up the future of music."
In 2026, the scale will be further expanded, and outstanding songs and artists will be honored in all 78 categories.
