Nippon Benex Corporation (Headquarters: Isahaya, Nagasaki; President: Yohei Kobayashi; hereafter 'Nippon Benex') has installed the 'Benex Konan City 1 Solar Port' (hereafter 'the power plant') on the roof of the 'UIB Konan Logistics Center II,' a logistics facility developed by Unified Industrial Corp. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & Japan Representative of UIB Group: Hiroshi Takizawa), a subsidiary of UIB Holdings, in Konan City, Shiga Prefecture, and has now commenced operations. This power plant is one of the largest operational rooftop-leasing solar power plants on a single logistics facility in Japan*1.
The power plant is a 6,012.5 kW solar power station constructed by installing 9,620 solar cell modules on the rooftop of the 'UIB Konan Logistics Center II.' The generated electricity will be sold entirely to external parties by utilizing the FIP scheme.
The annual power generation is estimated to be approximately 5.03 million kWh, which is equivalent to the power consumption of about 1,678 general households.
