Japan Airlines Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Mitsuko Tottori; hereinafter "JAL") and TEPCO Energy Partner Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President & CEO: Momoko Nagasaki; hereinafter "TEPCO EP") will begin offering a new service, "JAL Gas Powered by TEPCO" (hereinafter "JAL Gas"), starting July 23, 2026. This service allows customers to earn JAL miles and "JAL Life Status Points" by paying their monthly gas bills.

This service is part of JAL's "JAL Mile Life※1" initiative, designed to enable JAL Mileage Bank (JMB) members to accumulate miles more beneficially in their daily lives beyond air travel.

1. Key Features of "JAL Gas"

① High Mile Return Rate

Miles will be earned as follows on the monthly gas bill (sum of basic and usage-based charges※2):

Earned Miles: 3 miles for every 100 yen of eligible charges (amounts under 100 yen are rounded down)

② Monthly Accumulation of "JAL Life Status Points"

"JAL Life Status Points," which determine eligibility for benefits and services under the "JAL Life Status Program," will be earned at a rate of 1 point per month, regardless of contract type.

③ Cost-Effective Pricing and Added Value Services

Pricing will be approximately 3% lower than standard urban gas rates in the service areas※3.

Additionally, in select regions, various peace-of-mind services are included, such as the "Life Support Service※4" and "Gas Appliance & Floor Heating Repair Service※5." Furthermore, customers can earn "Kurashi TEPCO Points," which can be exchanged for JAL miles※6, by logging into "Kurashi TEPCO Web" and other activities.

④ Wide Service Coverage

The service will be available in the following gas supply areas where TEPCO EP operates its retail business:

Service Areas: Tokyo Area, Musashi Area, Daito Area, Toho Area, Tohoku Area, Shizuoka Area, Osaka Area

2. Service Launch Date

Application acceptance is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. on July 23, 2026

3. JAL Gas Launch Campaign: Total 1 Million Miles Giveaway

To commemorate the service launch, a campaign will be held in which applicants who sign up for "JAL Gas Powered by TEPCO" during the designated period will be entered into a lottery to win a total of 1 million JAL miles.

※1 "JAL Mile Life" is JAL's initiative to enrich everyday life and life stages by enabling customers to earn and use miles in various daily scenarios beyond air travel.

※2 Eligible charges exclude consumption tax, fuel cost adjustment fees, late payment interest, and administrative fees.

※3 Depending on fuel cost adjustment mechanisms adopted by local gas providers, the actual savings may differ from "approximately 3%."

※4 A service provided by TEPCO EP offering free emergency assistance for issues with electrical systems, plumbing, windows, and locks.

※5 A service provided by TEPCO EP offering free repairs up to 500,000 yen (tax included) for covered appliances such as gas stoves, gas water heaters, IH cooking heaters, electric water heaters, and bathroom heating/drying units in the event of natural failure.

※6 The exchange function from Kurashi TEPCO Web to JAL Mileage Bank is scheduled to launch by the end of August 2026.
