The JAL Group has declared its goal of achieving net-zero CO₂ emissions by 2050, with a target of 10% SAF usage in its total fuel consumption by fiscal year 2030. As part of these efforts, the company has developed educational materials in collaboration with ARROWS Inc. to teach children about the cutting-edge process of recycling household waste cooking oil into Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF). Starting in June 2026, the program will be provided to approximately 400 elementary schools across Japan, targeting 20,000 fourth-grade students. The lessons aim to help children understand the connection between their daily lives and the decarbonization of the aviation industry.
