JA Kumamoto Keizairen takes on its first non-food product development challenge: 'Tomoru Oyasai' (Glowing Vegetables), lights made from upcycled imperfect vegetables, to launch on Makuake crowdfunding on March 30th.

JA Kumamoto Keizairen (Kumamoto Prefectural Economic Federation of Agricultural Cooperatives) has developed "Tomoru Oyasai" (Glowing Vegetables), a poster-style light made using tomatoes and eggplants that are unsuitable for shipping or consumption. Sales will begin on the crowdfunding site "Makuake" on Monday, March 30, 2026.
