[New Program Delivering the Real Workplaces and Careers of Certified Public Psychologists] Japanese Association of Certified Public Psychologists Launches Podcast 'Jacpp Radio'

The Japanese Association of Certified Public Psychologists (hereinafter JACPP) will launch a podcast program titled 'Jacpp Radio' on its official YouTube channel starting April 24, 2026. This program is a new initiative aimed at broadcasting the realities of the diverse workplaces and careers where Certified Public Psychologists are active to society at large.

■ Background of Launching 'Jacpp Radio'

Certified Public Psychologist is the first national certification for psychology professionals. Following the enactment of the Certified Public Psychologist Act in 2015 (enforced in 2017) and the first national certification exam in 2018, the registration of Certified Public Psychologists began in 2019. More than 10 years have passed since the enactment of the Certified Public Psychologist Act, but the social recognition of Certified Public Psychologists is still not sufficient. Given this background, JACPP planned 'Jacpp Radio' as a place to deliver 'real voices' such as 'what kind of workplaces', 'what kind of roles they play', and 'what kind of career paths they have taken' as Certified Public Psychologists.

■ Features of the Program

'Jacpp Radio' will welcome frontline Certified Public Psychologists as guests and deeply explore themes such as the following in an interview format:

- Current job details and practices in the field
- Process of career formation
- Difficulties faced in the field and how to overcome them
- Fulfillment in the job

■ About the 1st Broadcast

For the memorable 1st episode, we will welcome Mr. Masaki Fukushima, a Certified Public Psychologist working with 'Doctors Without Borders'. Mr. Fukushima has provided international aid in conflict zones and refugee camps worldwide, such as Palestine, Sudan, and Sierra Leone. In the program, he spoke about his reasons for crossing borders, his experiences and the difficulties he faced in overseas deployment sites, and how he overcame them.
