UN WFP Association Announces New Executive Appointment

The Japan Association for the World Food Programme (hereinafter, UN WFP Association, Yokohama City, Kanagawa Prefecture: Chairman Hiroki Ando), a certified NPO, is pleased to announce that the election of new executives was resolved at the Ordinary Council Meeting held on March 17.

With the appointment of one new executive, a total of 11 members, including the Chairman and Board Members, will oversee the association's operations and determine long-term operational policies. Additionally, two auditors will continue to audit the association's business execution.

It is a certified NPO that supports the UN WFP and serves as the official private sector support channel for the UN WFP in Japan. It conducts fundraising activities, collaborates with corporations and organizations, and carries out public relations activities. It received the Minister for Foreign Affairs' Commendation in 2024.
