"KAIMoN Music Festival"
J-WAVE (81.3FM), a radio station, will be involved in the planning and production cooperation for the "KAIMoN Music Festival | KAIMoN Music Festival – Open the MoN–", a music festival that celebrates the "opening" of MoN Takanawa, an experimental museum of culture that opened on March 28th (Saturday) at TAKANAWA GATEWAY CITY, and presents a new live experience where contemporary music intersects with Japanese traditional performing arts and physical expression. The festival will be held for four days from May 19th (Tuesday) to May 22nd (Friday) at MoN Takanawa: The Museum of Narratives.
The festival will feature artists deeply connected with J-WAVE, including Yogee New Waves, UA, STUTS, and ROTH BART BARON × Tarou Ishida, performing on different days. Each artist will collaborate with performers of Japanese musical instruments and those with traditional movements and physicality, centered around their unique musical styles. Going beyond simply recreating existing songs, these one-night-only stages will unfold for four consecutive nights, created specifically for this place and time. The production will employ real-time synchronization of sound, lighting, and visuals to bring the entire stage to life as "visualized sound." Through a hybrid composition where digital and analog merge, and a three-dimensional sound design that envelops the audience, an immersive experience that engages the entire body will be created.

● What are your impressions of "Japanese Traditional Expressions"?
―For example, when we were creating the arrangements for this time, we learned that "Japanese musical instruments" alone have a long history, and the instruments used vary depending on the branched genre.
Personally, I've recently been drawn to the concept of Mugen Noh, which I read about in a book. It's said to be one of the main forms of Noh theater that depicts the space between dreams and reality, and I would like to see it performed once.
● When do you feel "the gate of sound has been opened"?
―When watching a live performance, I sometimes feel, "This person has the god of music on their side." It was a performance where they trusted and surrendered to the music. It was very beautiful.
● What kind of stage can we expect at the "KAIMoN Music Festival"?
―A special performance in collaboration with Japanese musical instruments.
