Nihon Kaigo System Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka) will host the 'Driving Experience Tour for the Visually Impaired: Intermediate Course' on June 21 (Sun) and 22 (Mon), 2026. This tour is the first of its kind as a step-up program following the highly popular Beginner Course.

From 'Waiting for Instructions' to 'Self-Judgment' While the Beginner Course involved operating the vehicle based on instructor guidance, the newly established Intermediate Course reduces external guidance. Participants will increase the scope of their own judgment, relying on vibrations from road bumps and sounds from speakers to navigate the car.

Key Challenges of the Intermediate Course 1. Driving Triggered by Bumps: Operating deceleration or turns based on the sensation of bumps on the road. 2. Audio-based Parking: Attempting reverse parking by relying on direction and distance cues from speakers placed around the parking spot. 3. Parallel Parking: Memorizing procedures and using road bumps as markers to execute parallel parking autonomously.

This tour is an exclusive offering for members of the Nihon Kaigo System/Tabi Club (Aitabi Nakama).
