ITOKI to Relocate Shanghai Base in October to Strengthen Office Design Proposals in Chinese Market

ITOKI Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President and Representative Director: Koji Minato) announces that it will relocate the business base of its group company, Novo Workstyle Co., Ltd. (诺浩家具有限公司), which handles the workplace business in Shanghai under its Chinese subsidiary ITOKI China Holding Co., Ltd. (伊藤喜(中国)投资控股有限公司). The new base, "ITOKI DESIGN HOUSE SHANGHAI (イトーキ デザイン ハウス シャンハイ)", is scheduled to open in mid-October 2026.

With the mission statement "Designing Tomorrow's Work," ITOKI has expanded its business domain in recent years from primarily furniture manufacturing and sales to a solution-based workplace business that proposes high-value-added "ways of working" utilizing data and technology, in addition to space design.

The current office market in China is dominated by businesses focused on furniture manufacturing and sales. Therefore, as a new initiative, ITOKI aims to expand demand by deploying its successful space design-led work style proposals from the Japanese market to the Chinese market.

This relocation of the Shanghai base will integrate previously separate office and showroom functions, aiming to strengthen office design proposals, a new area for the Chinese market. The goal is to create a space where customers can experience ITOKI's work style proposals while employees themselves practice new ways of working.
