Dalton Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Tadashi Sawada), a group company of ITOKI Corporation (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo; President: Koji Minato), will exhibit at "Interphex Japan 2026," a research and manufacturing exhibition for pharmaceuticals and cosmetics, to be held at Makuhari Messe in Chiba from May 20 (Wednesday) to 22 (Friday), 2026.

Dalton will set up booths in two zones. In the Sterilization and Cleanliness Zone, visitors can experience solutions for building sterile, clean, and containment environments, including new isolators designed for research and development environments for sterile preparations. In the Raw Material Processing Zone, visitors can experience containment pulverizers that can handle high-potency drugs with a single unit, and solutions that enable continuous production of solid formulations.

Sterilization and Cleanliness Zone

Under the concept of "Dalton's proposal for building a 'clean' environment," we will introduce isolators that achieve sterile environments required in fields such as high-potency drugs, gene therapy, and regenerative medicine with energy-saving, space-saving, and high operability. We will also present products that enable DX in pharmaceutical research, development, and manufacturing, and solutions that allow real-time measurement of VOCs in the atmosphere. In addition, many other products will be exhibited to showcase elements of building a "clean" environment.

・Sterile Isolator Sterigion®

This isolator incorporates our independently developed decontamination system, solving challenges such as shortening decontamination time, compact design, and reducing the risk of precision equipment failure in a single unit. It achieves approximately a 50% reduction in hydrogen peroxide consumption for decontamination and approximately a 40% reduction in total decontamination time (both compared to our previous models). Furthermore, by incorporating our unique filter system, the SurePack® system, which reduces contaminated areas and ensures worker safety, and by clearly defining the decontamination area within the isolator, the overall device has been made 30% more compact compared to our previous models.

Moreover, during decontamination, real-time environmental control is performed to maintain optimal internal conditions for decontamination while preventing excessive condensation, thereby reducing the risk of precision equipment failure.

With this device, the isolator and decontamination system can be operated and monitored via a single touch panel, achieving intuitive operability and manageability.

・Automated Cell Culture System centered on Pure Q-be®

This system automates cell culture in regenerative medicine and cell therapy, supporting improved reproducibility and homogeneity, and reducing dependence on operators.

It features a small pharmaceutical robot TX2-40 (manufactured by Stäubli) installed inside the isolation clean bench "Pure Q-be®" (Pure Cube®), which can create an ISO5 (Class 100) environment. This system will demonstrate automatic dispensing of liquid media and cell suspensions.

・Atmospheric Trace VOC Real-time Monitoring Device Air Tox Solutions

This is a device from TOFWERK AG (Switzerland) that enables real-time monitoring of volatile organic compounds (VOCs) in the atmosphere. Accurate measurement of PRTR target substances and VOCs in research laboratories and manufacturing plants contributes to efforts to prevent environmental pollution.

Conventional methods, centered on chromatography-mass spectrometry, involved quantitative analysis through offline integrated measurements, which took time. However, Air Tox Solutions allows for real-time analysis of what substances are present and in what quantities. Measurements are possible at the pptv level, ensuring extremely high analytical precision.

Raw Material Processing Zone

We will exhibit new pulverizers that combine containment performance and operability for high-potency drugs, as well as micro-fluidized beds, tumbler mixers, and real-time mixing degree measurement systems using NIR. Our expert staff will be available to consult on various challenges such as improving production efficiency, sophistication, and cost reduction.

Containment Pulverizer

This is a new pulverizer that combines containment performance and operability, suitable for high-potency drugs. In a test* evaluating how well the device alone can prevent powder leakage, powder concentrations were confirmed to be below 0.1μg/㎥ at all measurement points. This indicates that the device can suppress powder dispersion to an extremely high standard under the specified test conditions, making it suitable for manufacturing sites where powder dispersion control is required.
