ISARIBI Co., Ltd., through its creator label 'METEORA st.', announced that its affiliated anison dance performer, Ryu of REAL AKIBA BOYZ, won the A-POP Solo Japan Championship 'Solo Bakka~no 2026'. The event took place on April 12, 2026, at Takeshiba New Pier Hall. This competition, organized by Atsuki Suzumiya, is the third OVA event of the 'Akibakka~no' brand, a major A-POP dance battle in Japan. Ryu's victory marks an unprecedented 6th consecutive series win, building on a previous record of 5 consecutive team victories with Yuta, which included a Singapore tournament. Ryu, a 19-year-old university student, continues to be a prominent figure in the domestic and international A-POP scene. In March 2026, Ryu successfully completed a solo tour titled 'Raihare' across two cities, Osaka (Umeda Club Quattro) and Tokyo (Zepp Shinjuku), both selling out. The free simultaneous streaming of the Zepp Shinjuku performance attracted approximately 15,000 viewers. Ryu also gained national attention by starring in SoftBank's new commercial, 'If you start moving, the scenery changes.' As the youngest member of REAL AKIBA BOYZ, a group with over 500 million total video views and a performance at the 74th Kohaku Uta Gassen, Ryu is recognized as a leading anison dance performer of the next generation.
