Iris Plaza Acquires Mynavi's E-commerce Site "kurasso" Business

Iris Plaza Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Sendai City, Miyagi Prefecture; Representative Director and President: Ryota Iwasaki) of the Iris Group has reached an agreement and signed a business transfer agreement to acquire the e-commerce site "kurasso," which primarily handles household goods, operated by Mynavi Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; Representative Director, President and Executive Officer: Shunsuke Awai, hereinafter referred to as Mynavi).

Iris Plaza began its internet mail order business in 2001 as the official online store for Iris Ohyama. Based on the concept of "Always by your side," it currently boasts over 5 million members and handles approximately 100,000 products (※1) across 30 categories, including home appliances, food, daily necessities, and pet supplies, primarily Iris Ohyama products. Since March 2025, the company has been expanding its services to meet consumer needs, such as the full-scale operation of its marketplace function and the launch of a hometown tax payment acceptance service.

With this business transfer, Iris Plaza will take over the operation of the e-commerce site "kurasso," which started in 2018 as an information site based on the concept of "solving daily life problems" and later expanded into an e-commerce site focusing on household goods in response to reader demand. The approach of supporting consumers through life hacks and product proposals has a high affinity with our company's philosophy, and we determined that mutual added value could be created, leading to the signing of this business transfer agreement.

The start of operations under Iris Plaza's new system is anticipated around late July to early August 2026. Before the transition to the new system, new order acceptance will be temporarily suspended to ensure a smooth business succession and the establishment of an operational structure. The specific period of suspension will be announced on the "kurasso" site once determined.
