Ippu Senkin introduces on-premise generative AI pleading document creation system "Court" for Viewcard's debt management operations

Ippu Senkin Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Chuo-ku, Tokyo, Representative Director & CEO: Hideya Suzuki, hereinafter "Ippu Senkin") has developed and started full-scale operation of "Court," a generative AI system that supports the creation of court documents (hereinafter "pleading documents") such as preparatory documents and evidence explanations used in litigation handling operations at the Debt Management Department of Viewcard Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Shinagawa-ku, Tokyo, President: Kenichiro Arai, hereinafter "Viewcard").

This initiative was implemented as part of Viewcard's utilization of generative AI. Through analysis based on past cases, it has been confirmed that extremely high-precision document creation is possible for about 80 to 90% of dispute cases, and significant operational efficiency is expected.

Background of the Initiative In litigation cases concerning debt collection by credit card companies, it is necessary to create pleading documents to counter the claims of the defendant (debtor). This task is highly specialized, requiring the construction of accurate legal grounds based on laws and membership terms, and it takes a considerable amount of time for a person in charge to master the complete process.

Furthermore, business know-how tends to concentrate in experienced personnel, making the transfer of knowledge a challenge in anticipation of job rotations and organizational changes. Against this background, Viewcard and Ippu Senkin have been working on operational efficiency utilizing generative AI.

System Overview Court supports the drafting of pleading documents that the plaintiff (Viewcard) submits to the court in dispute litigation cases.

When a representative inputs case information, the generative AI analyzes the content of the defendant's claims and presents the points that need to be addressed. The representative confirms and selects the presented points, and the system instantly generates a draft of the document. The workflow is designed so that the generated draft is reviewed and edited by the representative before being finalized as the final document.

Main Features 1. Highly secure on-premise environment Because it handles confidential litigation-related information, all systems are built in an on-premise environment. This minimizes the risk of information leaking externally.

2. High-precision document generation utilizing past cases and membership terms The generative AI references past similar cases and membership terms to generate pleading documents such as preparatory documents and evidence explanations tailored to the issues. In preliminary verification, it has been confirmed that extremely high-precision drafting is possible for about 80-90% of dispute cases. This allows the representatives to focus on revising and refining the content of the remaining 10-20% of highly individualized cases.
