Intrepid Spirits Japan Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: 4-13-5 Akasaka, Minato-ku, Tokyo) will launch "Cocalero Spring/Summer Limited Edition Labels" in April 2025. These limited-edition bottles are inspired by the World Heritage Oruro Carnival in Bolivia. The special design bottles embody the bold and free spirit of the Cocalero brand, drawing inspiration from Andean mythology and festive culture. Kokubu Group Headquarters Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: 1-1-1 Nihonbashi, Chuo-ku, Tokyo), the Japanese importer, will distribute the products mainly to bars and clubs. The Oruro Carnival, held annually in Oruro, Bolivia, from February to March, is one of South America's largest festivals and was registered as a UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage in 2001. The "Diablada" (Dance of the Devils) is central to the festival, depicting a battle between the Lord of the Underworld, Supay, and Archangel Michael. Cocalero, rooted in Bolivian culture and made from botanicals grown in the Andes, shares the same cultural origins as the Oruro Carnival. The limited-edition bottles feature designs based on the devil masks worn by Diablada performers. The Clasico label uses a vibrant green and pink on a black background, while the Vida label features a festive purple on a pink background. Both products are liqueurs, 700ml, priced at 4980 JPY (excluding tax), and manufactured in Ireland. The Clasico has an alcohol content of 29%, and Vida has 22%. Cocalero entered the Japanese market in 2021 and has gained popularity among young adults in bars and clubs. In 2025, the brand plans to fully launch a new flavor, "Picante," and expand its small-volume bottle series. A website renewal has also been conducted to coincide with the limited-edition label launch, featuring dynamic visuals of the Andean world.
