Interspace Receives Encouragement Award at "Career Ownership Management AWARD 2026"

Interspace Inc. Background of the Award Amid persistent feedback from field managers that "members don't act proactively" and "we can't allocate time for training," the HR department initiated a qualitative analysis of 1-on-1 meetings and a quantitative analysis of turnover data. They identified that a lack of teaching and coaching was directly impacting members' autonomy and growth opportunities. Based on this problem awareness, a coaching program connecting individual career goals with business KPIs was designed and rolled out as a company-wide initiative. Program Overview: Coaching Marathon After a trial in the HR department in 2021, the program was expanded company-wide from 2022. In each term, 10-20 employees participate on a voluntary application basis (requiring a statement of motivation to ensure proactiveness), continuing with one-hour sessions once a month for six months. The design involves clarifying values and a six-month goal in the first session, followed by a cycle of setting monthly to-dos and reviews. By making the connection between personal goals and a supervisor's KPIs a mandatory requirement, career development is directly linked to business results. It is currently operated by a team of four internal coaches, with the 12th session in progress as of 2025. The practice of accompanying participants from goal setting to review over a six-month period and mandating agreement with supervisors to link personal goals to business KPIs is highly effective. The clear results, including over 200 cumulative participants, the emergence of promoted employees and award winners, and an average NPS over 9, are also evident.
