Interg Inc. Obtains International Certification "B CorpTM Certification"

Interg Inc. (Headquarters: Minato-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takeshi Nasu; hereinafter referred to as Interg), a company involved in operating digital media, has obtained the "B CorpTM Certification," an international certification system operated by the U.S. non-profit organization "B LabTM."

The B Corp certification is an international certification that evaluates all corporate activities, including consideration for society, the environment, and employees, with a strict requirement of scoring 80 points or higher. Interg achieved a score of 81.9 points to obtain the certification.

▎Background and Aspirations for Obtaining B Corp Certification

With the corporate mission "Changing the world starting with the happiness of one person," Interg has, since its founding in 2017, considered it its corporate responsibility to balance the happiness of each employee with contributions to the environment, society, and economy. To visualize this philosophy according to international standards and to promote more transparent management, Interg aimed to obtain B Corp certification.

B Corp certification not only leads to trust from all stakeholders, including employees, users, and business partners, but also requires a renewal review every three years. Among the five evaluation categories set by B Corp (Governance, Workers, Community, Environment, Customers), Interg received particularly high marks in the "Workers" category. The company has been working to enhance employee benefits and create an environment that supports flexible working styles.

▎What is "B Corp Certification"?

B Corp certification is an international certification system operated by the U.S. NPO "B LabTM." Companies that conduct business balancing social and financial goals can obtain it by clearing over 200 strict standards (B Impact Assessment) set by B Lab, covering social and environmental performance, transparency, and accountability.

This certification system, which evaluates the entire company rather than just internal systems, initiatives, or individual products, has seen over 10,000 companies in 102 countries worldwide obtain B Corp certification as of the end of January 2025. In Japan, 87 companies had obtained certification as of June 2026.
