As part of this, Yuki Abe has been appointed Editor-in-Chief of "Complex Japan", the Japanese version of the US-based youth culture media "Complex". TWIN PEAKS TOKYO has formed a partnership with "Complex" for its operations in Japan. The launch of "Complex Japan" will include a website, social media presence, video and audio content, events, and merchandise, with rollouts beginning in June 2026. "Complex" is a media and entertainment company originating from the United States, recognized as a global brand with significant influence across music, fashion, sneakers, and pop culture. For over 23 years, "Complex" has been a key guide for youth culture, integrating content, commerce, and experiential culture. Yuki Abe expressed his honor in joining the Complex team for its Japan launch and his commitment to leveraging his past experience and network for appropriate localization. He noted Japan's strong global presence in fashion, sneakers, art, manga, and anime, and aims to enhance Complex's presence and contribute to the further development of Japanese culture. Yuki Abe's professional background includes being a former hip-hop artist and a fashion/culture editor. He led the Japan launch of the US fashion media "UpscaleHype" and contributed fashion columns to the "NBA Japan" official website. From 2019 to 2024, he served as Managing Editor/Editor-in-Chief of "Hypebeast Japan". He has interviewed numerous global figures from designers to artists and athletes, including Jay-Z, Kaws, Rick Owens, Demna, Jennie, Futura, Takashi Murakami, Hiroshi Fujiwara, Chitose Abe, Jun Takahashi, Shinsuke Takizawa, Tomoya Nagase, Rui Hachimura, Yuki Chiba, Jerry Lorenzo, Matthieu Blazy, Ronnie Fieg, Mike Amiri, Luke Meier, and Anderson .Paak.
