[Shizuoka/Yaizu] Port Town Night Event 'YAIZU Yoruchill' Returns After One Year! Creating a "New Night Culture" with Outdoor Movies x Food x Music (Held May 3rd & 4th)

At Yaizu PORTERS, a complex facility near the inner port in Yaizu City, Shizuoka Prefecture, a night event called 'YAIZU Yoruchill' will be held for two days on May 3rd (Sun) and 4th (Mon, Holiday), 2026, featuring outdoor movie screenings, DJs, live music, and food and drinks. This event will be held for the first time in a year.

'YAIZU Yoruchill' is a night event that started with the aim of regional revitalization by volunteer members within Yaizu City. It has been held four times so far and is becoming established as a rare night-oriented event in Yaizu.

The previous event (held in May 2025) attracted approximately 1,600 visitors over two days, receiving a strong response. It is gaining attention from within and outside the region as a new attraction of Yaizu's nightlife.

"There are few places in Yaizu where one can spend a relaxing evening." "There are few opportunities for young people to gather." "We want to enjoy drinks and food in a slightly stylish space."

Prompted by such voices, 'YAIZU Yoruchill' was launched three years ago by volunteer members who met at a workshop at 'Yaizu PORTERS.' With the theme 'Isn't it great to have a night like this in Yaizu?', they aim to create a 'new night scene in Yaizu' that can be enjoyed by all generations.

Representative's Comment Through the past four events, visitor numbers have increased year by year, and we feel the event is becoming established. The 'chill' experience, enjoyed with all five senses, such as movie screenings on a giant screen utilizing the port's location, DJ play, and relaxation, is gradually spreading to visitors from outside the city. This year's event will again be held during Golden Week, and we hope it becomes a place where everyone can gather, making both locals and those returning home feel that 'Yaizu is interesting.' We want to create not just a tourist event, but 'a reason to want to visit Yaizu' and 'an opportunity to want to return.'

Furthermore, this event is gaining attention as a creation of night content in regional cities.
