The NPO Tenaga Ojisan Project (Shibuya, Tokyo; Representative: Kisako Omi) will launch a six-month program titled 'Opening Yourself Classroom' in September 2026, specifically for middle and high school students living under social care. The program aims to help participants understand themselves and envision their own futures by interacting with diverse creators, including fashion models, calligraphers, dancers, writers, and photographers. Through experiences rarely found in daily school life and safe dialogue sessions, participants will explore their interests and potential career paths. Applications open on June 1, 2026. Online information sessions (June 12) and mini-workshops (July 11) will also be held. The program consists of six monthly sessions, each lasting from 10:00 to 16:00, focusing on themes such as art, philosophy, and physical expression. The focus is not on acquiring knowledge, but on noticing changes in one's own feelings and thoughts. Instructors include Yurika Kato, Yugo Yasuda, Natsumi Wada, Chieko Ito, Rei Nagai, and Yayoi Arimoto. The program is limited to 15 participants, and participation is free of charge.
