First Design Competition '1st ASOLIE Design Award' Held for Housing Voluntary Chain ASOLIE

Miratap Co., Ltd. (headquarters: Osaka City), which sells housing equipment online, held the award ceremony for the first design competition '1st ASOLIE Design Award' of the housing design voluntary chain ASOLIE, operated by the company, at the Miratap Tokyo Showroom on May 27, 2026 (Wednesday). On the other hand, many local construction companies lack the know-how and specialized personnel for design, and have been unable to meet these needs. Therefore, in 2021, the company launched the housing voluntary chain ASOLIE, where construction companies nationwide provide house building under a common design guideline. By sharing the explanatory book 'Design Code' supervised by an architect with member contractors, the company has built a system that enables local builders to offer houses that seem designed by an architect. This design award is a competition that comprehensively evaluates design, construction, and quality for 'ASOLIE-certified properties' designed and built by ASOLIE member contractors. The judge is architect Tetsuo Yamaji, who supervises the 'Design Code.' The exterior is unified in gray tones, creating a calm worldview that continues from outside to inside. The interior is a minimalist composition based on black, with minimal lighting highlighting shadows, and the space's expression changes over time. 'Shussai Model' A house that reads the 'quality' of the surrounding environment, such as the mountain ranges of the Shussai area, the tranquility of old roads, and the craft culture symbolized by Shussai Kiln, and assembles the spatial composition from connections with the external environment. Based on sunlight simulations, large openings and passive design achieve comfort with all rooms above 18°C in winter.
