New Release: LED-Illuminated Mirror Cabinet "Roina" - Combining Makeup and Storage in Limited Washroom Spaces

Miratap Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: Osaka City), which sells housing equipment online, will launch "Roina," an LED-illuminated mirror cabinet that integrates LED lighting to brightly illuminate the face and storage functions, on Thursday, May 7, 2026.

In recent years, the number of people doing makeup in washroom spaces has increased, leading to a growing demand for "wanting to finish morning preparations in one place" and "wanting space to store cosmetics." *1 In addition, on social media platforms like Instagram, there has been an increase in posts showing cosmetic storage in mirror cabinets and makeup done with LED-illuminated mirrors, expanding the demand for storage-equipped mirrors that brightly illuminate the face. In fact, the hashtag "#actressmirror" (a general term for mirrors with LED lighting around them) has over 16,000 posts, indicating its high popularity.

Our existing LED-illuminated mirror cabinet, "Stems Mirror Box LED," has recorded approximately 3.4 times more sales than its non-LED counterpart. *2 Furthermore, "Maroon Mirror LED," a simple design without storage functions, showed high growth with sales in the fiscal year ending September 2025 increasing by approximately 174% year-on-year, underscoring the growing interest in standalone LED mirrors. However, we have not previously had a mirror box in our lineup that combines LED lighting to illuminate the entire face with storage functions.

"Roina," launching this time, integrates front-emitting LEDs that brightly illuminate the face with cabinet storage that neatly conceals small cosmetic items, creating an ideal grooming space even in a compact area. Its compact design makes it perfect not only for main washroom spaces but also for secondary washrooms or makeup corners set up in a corner of a bedroom. Unlike general lighting that illuminates from above, the LED lighting arranged around the mirror illuminates the entire face evenly from the front, preventing unnatural shadows and allowing clear confirmation of skin tone and makeup details. Furthermore, a simple touch switch allows adjustment of light color (white/warm) and brightness, enabling versatile use according to the scene. The installation method supports both wall-mounted and recessed options, allowing for a sense of spaciousness even in narrow areas.
