InfiniCloud Inc. (hereafter InfiniCloud) has built and released its proprietary login and authentication infrastructure that operates entirely on domestic Japanese infrastructure. This infrastructure is positioned as an authentication backbone connecting the company's various services, and as its first phase, integration with the personal cloud storage service "InfiniCLOUD" will commence on July 7, 2026.
Background and Features of the New Authentication Infrastructure
This authentication infrastructure is designed to operate entirely on Japanese domestic infrastructure and will be sequentially integrated with various enterprise services, including InfiniCloud Inc.'s private cloud, and AI-related services. We aim to improve customer convenience by gradually establishing an environment where customers can use multiple services with a single account.
Furthermore, as this infrastructure operates entirely on domestic infrastructure, it provides a stable authentication environment that is less susceptible to the impact of overseas service disruptions or changes in international affairs.
Key Changes in InfiniCLOUD
Login ID Changed to Email Address
The authentication information for logging into InfiniCLOUD will be changed from the current "InfiniCLOUD User ID" to "email address."
Two-Factor Authentication Included as Standard
The login authentication method has been revamped, and two-factor authentication will be included as standard for all accounts.
With the previous login method using only a password, if the password was compromised by a third party, there was no means to prevent account hijacking. Two-factor authentication requires identity verification using a confirmation code sent to "an authentication app (smartphone) or a registered email address" in addition to the password, thus preventing unauthorized logins and account hijacking even if the password is leaked.
The following two authentication methods can be selected:
Email Authentication: Authentication via a confirmation code sent to the registered email address.
Authentication App: Authentication via a smartphone app such as Google Authenticator or Microsoft Authenticator.
Future Outlook
Starting with the release of this authentication infrastructure, we will sequentially proceed with integration with enterprise cloud services and AI-related services. We aim to build an environment where customers can use our services with peace of mind, based on a stable authentication infrastructure rooted in Japanese domestic infrastructure, independent of major overseas cloud providers.
