Imuraya Co., Ltd. (Headquarters: 7-1-1 Takachaya, Tsu City, Mie Prefecture; President: Yasushi Iwamoto) will hold a sampling event, 'Azuki Bar Festival 2026', distributing a total of approximately 15,500 'Azuki Bar' ice creams for free across four cities nationwide (Tokyo Venue: COREDO Muromachi Terrace 1F Big Roof Plaza / Nagoya Venue: Lalaport Nagoya Minato Aquls 1F Outdoor Event Space Decagon / Osaka Venue: Yodobashi Camera Umeda 1F Southeast Entrance Front / Fukuoka Tenjin Venue: ONE FUKUOKA BLDG. Northwest Side Plaza) from June 26 (Fri) to June 27 (Sat) (*1). This event is held to commemorate July 1st, 'Imuraya Azuki Bar Day', established by the Imuraya Group in 2007, and has been well-received as an annual event heralding the arrival of summer. Since the year following the establishment of the anniversary, 2008, the company has been holding Azuki Bar sampling events nationwide and has continued to hold events to celebrate the anniversary every year. Since its launch in 2023, the 'Azuki Bar Festival' has been visited by many customers each year. In response to the positive feedback, the company has decided to hold the event for the fourth consecutive year. This year, in addition to Tokyo, Nagoya, and Osaka, the event will also be held for the first time in Fukuoka Tenjin. The 'Azuki Bar', a long-selling brand with over 50 years since its launch, recorded a record high of 335 million bars sold annually in the series for fiscal year 2025. To express deep gratitude to our valued customers, we will provide a total of approximately 15,500 'Azuki Bar' ice creams for free across four cities nationwide leading up to 'Imuraya Azuki Bar Day' on July 1st. Furthermore, during the same period, a festival event (*2) themed around the 'Azuki Bar' will be held exclusively at the Tokyo venue (COREDO Muromachi Terrace 1F Big Roof Plaza) for two days only, June 26 (Fri) and June 27 (Sat). As a traditional Japanese festival, stalls for yo-yo fishing and target shooting will be set up, allowing visitors to enjoy the summer tradition along with the 'Azuki Bar'. *1: Event periods and times vary by venue. Azuki beans have been eaten on the 1st and 15th of every month since ancient times as a food of good fortune and a source of health. To pass on this good custom to the present day and to contribute to everyone's health, the Imuraya Group, which handles many azuki products, established 'Azuki Day on the 1st of every month', which was certified by the Japan Anniversary Association. Furthermore, with the wish that people would eat the 'Azuki Bar', which uses plenty of azuki beans, to get through the hot summer, July 1st, when the real heat begins, was established as 'Imuraya Azuki Bar Day'. Ahead of 'Imuraya Azuki Bar Day' on July 1, 2026, a sampling event will be held in four cities nationwide (Tokyo, Nagoya, Osaka, Fukuoka Tenjin) to distribute 'Azuki Bar' ice creams for free. At each venue, photo props will be available for taking pictures with the Azuki Bar and sharing on social media, and original limited-edition stickers will be distributed to visitors (*3). Additionally, Imuraya's character 'Azuki King' will appear at the Tokyo and Nagoya venues to liven up the 'Azuki Bar Festival'. *3: Quantities are limited. Azuki King Original Limited Edition Sticker Former Chunichi Dragons player Hitoki Iwase joins the event on June 27 (Sat) at Lalaport Nagoya Minato Aquls! Hitoki Iwase, a former Chunichi Dragons player who has loved the 'Azuki Bar' since childhood, will appear at the Nagoya venue on June 27 (Sat). He will hold a talk show and personally hand out 'Azuki Bar' ice creams. *Participation by former Chunichi Dragons player Hitoki Iwase in the free 'Azuki Bar' distribution will only be for a short time immediately after the start of each session.
