Impress Corporation (Headquarters: Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo; President and CEO: Takashi Takahashi), which develops IT-related media businesses within the Impress Group, will release the mook "AI Introduction and Utilization Guide for Educational Settings 2026," a systematic compilation of the current state of generative AI utilization in educational settings, on Monday, April 6, 2026.
■ A book for busy educators to understand the current state of generative AI
Currently, the use of generative AI in education goes beyond mere efficiency in school administration, with high expectations as a partner to enhance the quality of students' learning. However, it is extremely difficult for busy educators to comprehensively grasp the vast amount of daily updated information and diverse services, and link them to concrete practices in the field.
To alleviate this burden on educators, this publication summarizes the current state of AI use in education into a single volume. It includes interviews with the Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology (MEXT), explanatory articles on the Generative AI Utilization Guidelines Ver. 2.0, the potential of "Copilot+ PCs" equipped with AI features, and practical examples from advanced schools fostering the ability to formulate questions independently. By positioning AI not merely as a tool to provide answers but as a companion to deepen thinking, the book aims to be a resource for understanding the present of education and AI, supporting the creation of an environment where teachers can focus on their original educational activities.
Furthermore, to assist in the further introduction and utilization of AI in educational settings, our company has distributed this publication free of charge to boards of education nationwide (shipped at the end of March). We hope it will be utilized in formulating school DX and AI utilization policies.
■ This publication is recommended for the following people:
- Board of education members and administrators responsible for formulating AI introduction/operation policies and school DX.
- Elementary, junior high, and high school teachers exploring ways to use AI in classes and reduce administrative burdens.
- Parents and educators who want to deepen their thoughts on what learning should look like in the AI era.
