From Rare Pre-war Toothbrushes to Creative Future-Material Toothbrushes, All Exhibited in One Place: A Solo Exhibition on Toothbrushes, 'The Toothbrush' and 'The Maker'

PLUS Co., Ltd. (Higashiosaka City, Osaka / Brand name: Nhes.), manufacturer of the eco-friendly toothbrush 'turalist' made from natural wood and bristles, will hold a solo exhibition on toothbrushes, 'The Toothbrush' and 'The Maker', from June 5th to 10th at the Morc Museum (Asagaya, Suginami-ku, Tokyo), coinciding with Dental and Oral Health Week. Prior to the public opening, a press and stakeholder preview and networking event will be held on Thursday, June 4, 2026.

This exhibition takes the 'toothbrush,' an ordinary daily item, as its theme to introduce Japanese craftsmanship, materials, local resources, and the philosophy and background stories of the makers.

◾️ Exhibition Background
While the toothbrush is a familiar tool we use every day, there are few opportunities to learn about the manufacturing technology, material selection, use of local resources, and the maker's philosophy behind it. With the desire to 'deliver the philosophy and stories of craftsmanship through toothbrushes,' our company has been developing toothbrushes using domestic timber and local materials.
The purpose of this exhibition is to help visitors rediscover the culture and possibilities dwelling in daily necessities through the lens of past, present, future, and global toothbrushes.
