Background In Japan, the social structure is undergoing significant changes due to the '2040 Problem'—characterized by a declining birthrate, an aging population, a shrinking working-age population, and widening regional disparities in educational opportunities. Consequently, education is being called upon to undergo major changes. It is no longer enough to rely on traditional knowledge acquisition; there is a need to shift toward individually optimized learning that responds to each student's interests, motivation, career path, and level of understanding. MEXT has launched reforms under the 'Next High School' vision, promoting the digitalization of education and the cultivation of AI literacy to foster science and technology talent.

Against this backdrop, Idea High School, a support school for correspondence high school students, recognizes that students' learning environments are no longer limited to the school building but extend to diverse locations, including their homes. We believe it is essential to create a system that allows learning to continue regardless of time or place. Furthermore, in addition to daily academic support, it is vital to provide individually optimized learning for diverse university entrance methods—such as comprehensive selection and school recommendation—as well as a consultation system that addresses both academic and personal life concerns to provide support tailored to each student.

With this awareness of the issues, Idea High School has developed 'Idea My Pace Study' to support students from both academic and psychological perspectives in line with the realization of the 'Next High School' vision.

Details [Overview] Based on our characteristics as a correspondence high school support school, this platform is an AI learning support system designed to allow students to easily and consistently engage in learning from various environments, including their homes. Students can log in via a browser to access all applications. They can access diverse learning content geared toward higher education, such as EIKEN (English proficiency) preparation and essay writing, allowing for flexible learning designs based on the student's career goals.

Furthermore, to create an environment where students can easily seek advice, we are launching counseling services via LINE. This realizes comprehensive support for students, covering not only academic assistance but also consultations regarding daily life and career paths.

We have also implemented a remedial learning app that identifies weak areas from elementary and junior high school, enabling individually optimized learning that allows students to review only the necessary parts according to their specific needs.

Through this, we aim to 'improve AI usage skills,' 'provide multi-faceted evaluation and guidance on expression and thinking skills,' and 'enhance the psychological support system.'

[Main Functions] - General Use: Enhances self-expression and creativity through chat functions, document creation, and illustration generation. - Study Support: Enables efficient daily learning through features like academic Q&A, problem generation, and explanation creation. - Idea High School App: Diagnoses weak points from elementary and junior high school, allowing for efficient review of only the necessary areas. - Career Support: Provides grading and guidance for areas difficult to quantify, such as application essays, personal statements, and interview preparation, helping to cultivate the expressive skills essential for recommendation-based admissions. - English Learning: Offers training to comprehensively improve four skills, including daily conversation, English composition, listening practice, and grading of English essays. - Information & Literacy: Introduces literacy training for safe and secure AI usage, teaching students how to utilize IT correctly. - Counselor Consultation: Allows students to anonymously and easily consult with counselors via chat regarding academic or personal life issues.

This platform is not limited to use within Idea High School; it can also be introduced to other high schools. Moving forward, we will expand its use to a wide range of educational settings as a new educational infrastructure that meets diverse learning needs.
