Ichimaru Pharcos' PeoGlow (Peony Extract) Wins Award at PCHi 2026 China Cosmetic Ingredients Exhibition

Ichimaru Pharcos Co., Ltd. is pleased to announce that its cosmetic ingredient "PeoGlow" (Peony Extract) received a Silver Award in the Whitening & Brightening category at the "PCHi 2026 Fountain Award," an award presented to companies and individuals who make significant contributions to China's beauty and cosmetics industry. The award ceremony was held during the cosmetic ingredient exhibition "PCHi 2026" in Hangzhou, China, from March 18 (Wed) to 20 (Fri), 2026.

At the PCHi 2026 Fountain Award, 56 products from 46 companies and 9 engineers were nominated through preliminary screening. The Active Ingredient Award is divided into 12 categories. In the Whitening & Brightening category, 5 products, including PeoGlow, were selected as finalists, with PeoGlow ultimately winning the Silver Award.

This marks Ichimaru Pharcos' ninth consecutive award at the PCHi Fountain Award, following previous accolades: the Active Ingredient Award & Excellent Developer Award for "IZAYOI" in 2017, the Active Ingredient Award & Excellent Developer Award for "Chronoscaldy" in 2018, the Excellent Developer Award for "Waminobonbon" in 2019, the Excellent Developer Award for "Version Up" in 2020, the Active Ingredient Award for "Spring Mint" in 2021, the Rising Star Developer Award for "Myrtec-HS" in 2023, the Active Ingredient Award for "Juniper Bright" in 2024, and the Active Ingredient Award for "Hyalugard" in 2025.

With this latest award, we aim to further expand sales of this natural skincare ingredient, which focuses on dull skin, in both the Japanese domestic and global markets.

● About PeoGlow PeoGlow is an extract derived from the roots of the peony plant (Paeonia suffruticosa). It offers benefits such as antibacterial, antioxidant, deodorizing, whitening, and anti-glycation properties. Furthermore, it is expected to improve skin appearance by inhibiting the binding of Advanced Glycation End-products (AGEs) to the Receptor for AGEs (RAGE), which can cause yellow, brown, and gray dullness.

● About the PCHi Fountain Award The PCHi Fountain Award was established in 2010 by PCHi (Personal Care and Homecare Ingredients), an annual cosmetic ingredient exhibition held in China, and was officially named in 2017. The award aims to recognize and stimulate the pioneering, innovative, and continuous development by industry leaders and individuals in new products and advanced technologies.
