Ichijo Komuten to Officially Launch First Nordic Concept Home "Naturia" Nationwide on July 1, 2026

Ichijo Komuten Co., Ltd. (President: Katsuhiko Makino, Headquarters: Koto-ku, Tokyo) will officially launch its first new Nordic concept product, "Naturia," nationwide on July 1, 2026, following a period of advance sales.

For Naturia, Ichijo Komuten has partnered with Yuriko Mori, an expert in Nordic living and design, to offer four distinct Nordic concept styles: "Himmel," "Glädje," "Hütte," and "Aino." This custom-built home, constructed using the platform frame method, features high insulation performance through double exterior and interior insulation, incorporating the Nordic philosophy of valuing natural gentleness and simplicity into Japanese living. Additionally, a new home fixture series, "Shirley Series," will be introduced.

Naturia is a coined word derived from "Natur" (nature) and "Area" (place), embodying the idea of creating a home that fosters a sense of attachment and reflects the resident's personality, born from the gentleness of nature and simplicity.

The four concept styles consist of "Himmel," a white-based design that complements colorful Nordic items;

"Glädje," with a classic atmosphere that suits furniture from the golden age of Nordic design; "Hütte," which utilizes the texture of wood for a relaxing cottage-like feel; and "Aino," enabling a Japandi style that harmonizes Nordic and Japanese aesthetics. Based on these styles, spaces can be created to match the family's preferences and lifestyle.

Through Naturia, Ichijo Komuten offers a new option that fuses high housing performance with the Nordic approach to living.

A cozy space like a "Hütte" (cottage) where Nordic people spend their holidays. A style that incorporates the texture of wood throughout a bright white base, perfect for gathering and relaxing with family and friends.

Aino –japandi-

Simple and minimalist design that resonates with Japan.

A refined and calm appearance where Nordic design and Japanese aesthetics harmonize. Features a gentle and elegant color palette that allows for the popular Japandi style and the creation of spaces that utilize empty areas, which is also popular in Nordic countries.

Compatible with single-story, two-story, and three-story buildings, the double exterior and interior insulation structure using EPS (expanded polystyrene) achieves high airtightness and insulation performance, akin to Nordic homes. Performance options such as 2x seismic resistance, flood-resistant specifications, and solar power + battery storage are also available.

Newly Introduced Home Fixture Series "Shirley Series"

The new "Shirley Series" home fixtures introduced with Naturia are available as kitchens, cupboards, dressers, and shoe boxes. The framed doors and bronze-black handles complement the gentle atmosphere of the interior. Available in four colors: forest green with added texture to solid colors, and three wood-grain patterns, allowing for total coordination with the doors and fittings. Ease of use and ample storage capacity are also attractive features.
