Senkyo.com, in collaboration with JX News Agency, conducted a nationwide public opinion survey from July 11 (Saturday) to 12 (Sunday), 2026, using a hybrid methodology—simultaneously administering the same questionnaire via telephone and internet surveys to individuals aged 18 and over in Japan.
This report presents the results of our monthly surveys on party support rates, cabinet approval ratings, and voter intentions for the proportional representation block in the next House of Councillors election. Additionally, this month’s unique survey question focused on public opinion regarding the reduction of parliamentary seats, including reasons for support or opposition.
【Survey Overview】The survey was conducted on July 11 (Saturday) and 12 (Sunday), 2026 (Reiwa 8). The target population consisted of individuals aged 18 and over in Japan. Valid responses were obtained from 1,027 telephone interviews and 1,347 internet responses (both conducted jointly with JX News Agency). All figures are rounded to two decimal places.
