Maihama View Hotel by HULIC to Open 'Umière,' a Summer-Exclusive Kids' Park for Guests, on August 1, 2026

The Maihama View Hotel by HULIC, located in Urayasu, Chiba and operated by Hulic Hotel Management Co., Ltd., will open 'Umière,' an all-weather kids' park exclusively for hotel guests, from Saturday, August 1, 2026. The facility will be housed in a separate building connected to the main hotel and will operate for a limited summer season.

■ Concept and Name
The name 'Umière' is a portmanteau of the Japanese word for sea, 'Umi,' and the French word for light, 'Lumière.' Situated in an open, ocean-facing space with ceilings over 10 meters high, the park is designed to provide a playground that stimulates children's senses and creativity.

■ Three Experience Areas
The park offers three zones themed around 'Active,' 'Creative,' and 'Calm' play, catering to different developmental stages. The equipment has been carefully selected from high-quality global suppliers.

【Active Area】
This zone will feature the Japan debut of the latest 'Airtrack Park,' an advanced air-filled play structure by the Dutch company Airgym. The attraction combines an air trampoline with soft parkour elements for dynamic, full-body play.

【Atelier Area】
This area will be equipped with educational toys that foster creativity, sourced primarily from top European brands. Selections include 'Matador' wooden construction toys and 'Pix' balance art sets.

【Baby Area】
Designed as a safe space for children aged 0 and up, this area will be the first in Japan to feature a series of toys made from bio-materials by the British company Tolo. It will also include high-quality children's furniture from the German company Beka and a play-pretend corner to encourage social development.

■ Hotel's Vision
General Manager Hiroki Suzuki stated that the hotel chose its most scenic detached building for the play space out of a desire for guests "to create irreplaceable memories within the hotel." The aim is to support family bonding by providing a space where parents and children can relax together, regardless of the weather.
